LEVEL 3 EXTENDED DIPLOMA DANCE & MUSICAL Theatre

Entry Requirements

To be considered for this course, as a minimum you will need 5 GCSE’s, or equivalent at 4/C grade and above. Preferably this will include English and Maths, although pathways are available to those that just miss out on a 4/C Grade in these core subjects.

Recognised qualifications

• RSL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative & Performing Arts is worth up to 3 A Levels, and will facilitate an entrance into University and Conservatoires.
• GCSE English and/or Maths ‐ For those who just miss out on a 4/C grade in English and/or Mathematics, VLUK will provide tuition to retake these all important qualifications. Essential for those that want to move on to Higher Education.

Course Highlights:

• Duration: 2 years, equivalent to 3 A-Levels.
• Assessment: No written exams; emphasis on practical and technical skills for roles in the performing arts industry.
• Current and Engaging: No set works or repertoire restrictions; students explore styles and genres of interest.
• Fair Assessment: Grading based on the majority of a student's performance, resulting in holistic, best-fit assessment.
• Recognition: Level 3 qualification with up to 168 UCAS points. (*At Distinction Star Level)

Post-Course Opportunities:

 This qualification allows seamless access to higher education courses or progression to auditions for working in the industry.

Further Training:

Students can opt for a third and final year at CLIQUE with our Booster Course.
